More of the best and worst from the Met Gala red carpet.
Of all three gowns, I liked Amber Valetta’s Prada dress the best. I loved the pleating detail on the skirt and the color blocking on the bodice. The skirt in white rather than black was interesting. I love that she kept the accessories to a minimum. I thought Scarlett Johansson’s Dolce & Gabbana gown was fanciful and I loved the gold embroidery and tulle at the bottom, but it wasn’t my favorite look on her. Christina Ricci allowed the fabric to overwhelm her petite frame in Thakoon. You can’t really get the full effect of the dress, but I thought the lace and nude underlay was beautiful. (more…)
