From casual to formal, here are my favorite looks this past week:

Brazilian model Alessandra Ambrosio was spotted on February 24 shopping at Planet Blue in Beverly Hills. Normally I’m not a big fan of overalls, but the trend has emerged this year with more fitted styles that I approve of. Alessandra’s Black Orchid skinny overalls in Die Another Day are just the type of silhouette I’m looking to add to my own wardrobe this spring and summer. She paired the overalls with leopard Vans Van Doren and a white sleeveless eyelet shirt from her own line Ale by Alessandra.

Actress Kate Hudson first wowed us in yellow in the film How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days. And she did it again at the Bvlgari Decades of Glamour Party in West Hollywood on February 25. She looked stunning in this Emilio Pucci spring 2014 yellow silk blouse, white leather mini skirt and white Christian Louboutin pumps. Kate completed her look with Bvlgari jewels, a clutch and a fun top knot. I love the play on proportion and burst of color here.

Sporting a new, edgy hair cut, singer and actress Brandy Norwood looked ravishing in red at the 7th Annual ESSENCE Black Women In Hollywood luncheon held at the Beverly Hills Hotel on February 27. The sleeveless Elena Reva tuxedo jacket and matching tailored pants was sophisticated and chic. She paired it with a multi-colored snakeskin Helmel clutch, red suede Christian Louboutin pumps, and an Erickson Beamon Rock ring.
