It hasn’t settled in. The entire experience was so surreal. I anticipated having at least three heart attacks, but I feared I might miss Bey’s infamous stanky leg or Hov’s instructional bounce, get your damn hands up, throw your diamonds in the air, etc. So, I dealt calmly with heart palpitations and a flood of emotions and just rocked the hell out with two of my favorite artists–who just happen to make an unstoppable and adorable couple. Beyonce and Jay Z open 2014 Grammys

Just as I predicted in my must-see TV post, 17-time Grammy winner Beyonce opened last night’s show with hip hop mogul Jay Z, singing their hit “Drunk in Love” from Beyonce’s fifth self-entitled studio album. It was quite a steamy duet between the husband and wife power couple, as Beyonce lit up the stage with just a chair and “flashing lights.” Camera action caught Taylor Swift and Sir Paul McCartney jamming along with the crowd as they chanted the popular line from the song–“surfboard.” (more…)

In lieu of one of the best music festivals that happened this weekend, I thought I’d show my love for what is quickly becoming the highlight of Coachella and its great music: fashion.  I wish I could’ve been there to see Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg, Arctic Monkeys, and Florence and the Machine.  Hey, there’s always next year!  Below are some of my favorite celebrities and fashion bloggers in some of the best looks and trends from the desert.

              

Count on Dita Von Teese to bring old Hollywood glamour to the outdoor festival.  Both dresses were amazing!  I love the swirly print on the Moschino Cheap and Chic bubble dress and the tiered ruffle effect paired with the wedges.  The second D&G dress is a bit nautical-inspired with the collar and tie, and you can’t quite tell here, but the print is actually ship steering wheels, anchors, and life preservers.  I love that she ditched the heels and went with navy blue Keds instead.
