Every week I’ll feature the things or people I’m currently obsessing over. This week’s obsession: chairs and a stunningly beautiful and talented actress.

Four Chairs, Six Colors

A bit of a disclaimer here. I work for Crate & Barrel so spotting amazing trends and home decor products isn’t exactly strange when surrounded by the high-end, quality pieces C&B delivers. But these new and colorful chairs featured in the Best & Buys really stood out. You can get them in four various designs and six different hues, including mint, yellow, red and snow. The mint and yellow Willa Side Chair and peacock Spare Folding Chair are my faves. Ranging from $49.95 to $149, these are sure to add a bold and vibrant look to your kitchen or dining room. Get them here.

If I had one celebrity girl crush this week, it’d be on 30-year-old newcomer Lupita Nyong’o. As a recent graduate of Yale’s drama school, it’s quite impressive how quickly things have taken off for the Kenyan actress who made her first film debut in the Oscar-nominated movie 12 Years a Slave. She’s already an award favorite, nabbing the Critics’ Choice Award for Best Supporting Actress on Thursday, January 16. She beat out fan favorites like Jennifer Lawrence and Julia Roberts. Not only did she look stunning that night, sporting a sleek and sophisticated white Calvin Klein gown for the awards ceremony, but she also gave a very gracious, humble speech when accepting her award. I’m looking forward to seeing her on the screen in upcoming movies and on the red carpet for the rest of the awards season. She’s definitely one to watch after seeing her performance as Patsey in the film.
